Message From The CEO
Well, what a rollercoaster year it has been, literally non-stop from beginning to end
Not only have we launched the following courses this year:
- Couples Coach Training Programme

We have also Just Launched the
- Neurodiversity-Awareness Training
We are also working on, for 2026:
- A new course called Core Coaching Competencies, which has already been accredited by the ICF
- A new training programme Group Coach Training
- And a very different and quite secret project in partnership with the wonderful Dr Eric Maisel —all will be revealed in the spring.
The ALPHA Group is going from strength to strength, launching in East Africa— it was wonderful to run a face-to-face programme in Nairobi with delegates from Kenya,
Democratic Republic of Congo, Cameroon, Zambia, And it looks like we will be running more in East Africa in February.
Not only that, if you have ever thought of running your own International Coach Training School, we now have places available, for people who want to become one of our, Master Franchise Partners, contact us to see if your country is still available.
With all of that on our plate, I am looking forward to a short break over Christmas and New Year. Which is usually the time I take to reflect on the previous year, what has happened, what has not happened, and to plan my goals for the coming years.
I wish all of you a most wonderful Christmas. And a successful and fulfilling 2026.
Warmest,
Gerard O’Donovan

A Landmark Year: The Alpha Group Expands Into East Africa
This year marked a major milestone for The Alpha Group as we officially launched our newest regional hub in Nairobi, Kenya, bringing our proven FastGrowth system to one of the world’s most dynamic and rapidly evolving business landscapes. The launch event, held on November 24, 2025, celebrated not only our arrival in East Africa but also our commitment to empowering the region’s ambitious small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
East Africa continues to experience remarkable economic expansion, with SMEs at the heart of innovation, job creation, and sustainable development. Recognising this momentum, The Alpha Group stepped forward to provide business leaders in Kenya with the strategic tools, peer-to-peer support, and executive insights they need to drive long-term growth. Our Nairobi hub will serve as a catalyst for transformation—helping companies scale effectively, improve profitability, and strengthen their competitive advantage.
Through our unique model, we unite like-minded executives in an environment built on shared knowledge, structured accountability, and collaborative problem-solving. Members gain access to expert coaching, a high-performing executive community, and the comprehensive FastGrowth roadmap—all designed to deliver measurable, lasting results.
But this launch represents much more than geographic expansion. It stands as a full and enduring commitment to the entrepreneurs who are shaping Kenya’s economic future. We are here to champion the region’s leaders, energise their vision, and equip them with the strategies needed to thrive in an increasingly competitive global market.
As we reflect on the year’s accomplishments, we look forward with excitement and determination. The Alpha Group is proud to stand alongside East Africa’s changemakers, ready to accelerate growth, spark innovation, and unlock new possibilities for years to come.
“We are incredibly excited to bring our FastGrowth system to the vibrant and innovative business community of East Africa. Nairobi is the perfect hub for our launch, and we believe our structured approach will provide local business leaders with the tools and mentorship they need to overcome strategic barriers and achieve remarkable, sustainable growth. Our commitment is to partner with these leaders and help them turn their growth aspirations into reality.”

Lagos Coaching Support Group Maiden Edition – A Strong Start
The maiden edition of the Coaching Support Group, held on 15 November 2025, marked a successful and encouraging beginning for the Lagos CSG community. The event welcomed 25 participants in person, with additional interest from those unable to attend who requested session updates.
The energy, engagement, and quality of discussion reflected strong alignment with the group’s vision. Several participants have already expressed interest in becoming paid members, signalling positive momentum toward the long-term goal of achieving Chartered status.
Attendees also showed keen interest in the NMC Global Scholarship, and guidance was provided on next steps. Moving forward, the focus will be on consistently delivering practical tools, frameworks, and resources to ensure high-value, engaging sessions that support members’ professional, business, and personal growth.
If you’d like, I can make this more celebratory, more metrics-focused, or more forward-looking for future editions.

Creating Meaningful Change Through Neurodiversity Awareness
Neurodiversity Awareness and Support
Specialist Training with Anita and Esther
Real change doesn’t always come from big gestures—it often starts with simple, thoughtful actions. When it comes to supporting neurodivergent individuals, understanding and intentional communication can make a profound difference. That’s why we’re excited to invite you to our upcoming Neurodiversity Awareness and Support Course!
This course is designed to equip you with practical, actionable strategies you can apply right away, including:
- Creating a safe and supportive communication environment
- Offering guidance without overwhelming the individuals you support
- Adapting your leadership style to different thinking processes
- Recognising signs of stress before they escalate
You don’t need to be a specialist to make an impact—you just need the right tools and the willingness to use them.

Be part of a movement that celebrates every mind.
The Craft of Coaching with Dr. Eric Maisel — A Growing Weekly Resource
Earlier this year, in April, Dr. Eric Maisel launched The Craft of Coaching—a weekly newsletter designed to unpack the real, practical work of being a coach. Since its debut, the series has become a rich resource for both new and experienced coaches who want to deepen their craft.
Each week, Eric takes readers behind the scenes of effective coaching, exploring topics such as:
What truly happens inside a coaching session
How to confidently start and close sessions
Practical tools for navigating client challenges
Real-world guidance on building and sustaining a coaching business
Insights that strengthen both coaching skills and professional mindset
Eric promised that “we’ll deal with everything coaching” — and week after week, he delivers exactly that.
If you haven’t joined yet, now is the perfect time to tap into this growing library of coaching wisdom.

Special Recognitions
As we take a moment to reflect on a challenging year (for many of us), we can’t forget to recognise the contribution of our wonderful partners and Master Distributors — thank you all!It would be difficult to include everyone here, and we wouldn’t want to miss anyone, but we recognised and celebrated them throughout the year on different occasions.
We also want to acknowledge our small head office team, who once again did an amazing job, navigating all the ups and downs. 🙂
Thank you to each and every one of you.
We are looking forward to the new year, enriched by our experiences and hopefully a little wiser.
